Earth Day at the Kennedy Space Center

Learn about technology NASA contributes to solve sustainability challenges on our planet and the discoveries made from afar that help us care for the earth. NASA and other presenters at the Kennedy Space Center will offer exhibits featuring sustainable products, services, and practices that better conserve energy. Enchanted Forrest Earth Day Festival
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The Enchanted Forrest Nature Sanctuary invites guests to enjoy this beautiful piece of nature and lots of special activities to celebrate Earth Day weekend. Guests can take guided hikes, watch special presentations, meet bats and other wildlife, shop for native plants, listen to live music, and more. There will be face painting, crafts, and hands-on activities at this kid-friendly event.
Clean the Carr
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 8 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Keep the sea turtle refuge on Archie Car Beach spotless for the return of nesting sea turtles. You can volunteer to help clean up the 20.5 mile stretch in Melbourne Beach with an organization or as an individual.
Party for the Planet
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Celebrate Earth Day surrounded by some of its most remarkable creatures. The Brevard Zoo invites you to enjoy hands-on activities, face painting, a live DJ, and a chance to create enrichment items for the zoo animals.
Central Florida Earth Day
Saturday, April 21, 2018 | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Perhaps one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the state, Central Florida Earth Day at Orlando’s Lake Eola Park features all sorts of activities for the whole family. The festivities include: speakers and presentations on environmental preservation, restaurant booths, food demos, a kid’s zone, live music and entertainment, 250+ eco-friendly vendors and more.
The event is presented by Vegetarians of Central Florida in an effort to educate more people on the importance of environmentalism and inspire sustainable solutions. The event is dog-friendly, but smoke-free and alcohol-free.
