Looking for ways to ease your little ones back into the school season? Try a trip to Indian River’s Environmental Learning Center (ELC)! The ELC has a touch tank full of hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, and sea urchins. Furthermore, the ELC has a team of talented nature guides that can lead you and your family on a walk throughout the grounds.

  1. McLarty Treasure Museum

If you haven’t visited the McLarty Treasure Museum, Labor Day is the perfect time to go. The museum has hundreds of pieces of treasure recovered from sunken Spanish galleons.  It is small enough to be a relaxing afternoon diversion, but impressive enough to make you want to start treasure hunting yourself!
