This special place is home to threatened Atlantic loggerhead sea turtles. They nest on Indian Harbor Beach (IHB) ocean beaches at densities of approximately one nest per 10 feet of shoreline per year! Endangered green sea turtles deposit impressive quantities of nests along the city’s ocean beach each year. Additionally, endangered right whales calve off the city’s shoreline and endangered West Indian manatees frequent the city’s canals and the Banana River. If only endangered species needed AC repair, we’d be busy all the time here.
